Dr Paul Thibault graduated in medicine and surgery at the University of Sydney and worked in General Practice for 11 years before commensing his pioneering work in Phlebology (treatment of varicose veins) and Cosmetic Medicine in 1988. He was the Founding President of the Australasian College of Phlebology and currently Associate Editor of the international journal, “Phlebology”. He has written many peer reviewed articles in medical journals in the fields of cosmetic medicine and phlebology and has contributed to major textbooks on venous diseases. Dr Thibault is known for his work in the non-surgical treatment of varicose and spider veins and was the first Australian doctor to use the technique of ultrasound guided sclerotherapy to treat major varicose veins.

Over the past 30 years he has built up a comprehensive vein and cosmetic medical practice involving treatment of varicose veins and cosmetic facial treatment using minimally invasive nonsurgical procedures. In his venous practice he has developed a research interest in chronic venous obstruction in the neck veins and its association with chronic diseases such as multiple sclerosis (MS), chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) and rosacea. This research and clinical interest includes diagnosis and management of chronic persistent Chlamydophila pneumoniae infection.

Dr Simon Thibault completed his studies in medicine and surgery at the University of Sydney in 1994 and worked in the fields of General Medicine, Cancer Medicine and Psychiatry before commencing training in Phlebology and Cosmetic Medicine. He is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Phlebology(ACP), having completed the requirements to pass the Board´s Certification Exams. He is the current President of the ACP. He was the Chief Censor of the ACP from 2016-2019 and the Dean of the ACP in 2019-20, a role that involves overseeing the training program for all vein trainees in Australia. He became President of the ACP in November 2020. He is also involved in teaching the diagnosis and treatment of Venous diseases to trainees.

As of December 2019, Simon has been appointed as an Education Advisor to the International Union of Phlebology (UIP).  He has undergone training in the latest techniques of cosmetic medicine including the use of botulinum toxin, and dermal fillers and is a Full Member of the Cosmetic Physicians College of Australasia.   He has special interests in ultrasound–guided sclerotherapy and endovenous laser treatment including their use in major varicose veins and venous ulceration, as well as in modern non–surgical cosmetic procedures. 

 

 

 

Ms Vanessa Rossignoli (RN)

Ms Vanessa Rossignoli graduated from The University of Newcastle in 1991 and is a Registered Nurse with extensive experience in Trauma and Emergency/Critical Care.  She has subsequently worked in the areas of general practice, defence force recruiting medicals, immunisation and since 2006, the specialised field of IVF.

As a working mother, Vanessa is highly empathetic to the pressures that society places upon individuals to look their best within a competitive, highly professional job market, and in particular the desire to ‘put your best face forward’.   She has undergone training in the latest techniques of cosmetic injecting with botulinum toxin and dermal fillers. Her desire is to create a refreshed, natural and where possible, undetectable result that imbues confidence in her clients.
