How long do I need to be on the Combined Antibiotic Protocol?

The minimum treatment schedule for CPn with a Combined Antibiotic Protocol is usually twelve months on full protocol; this is then followed by up to twelve months of intermittent treatment, where the treatment schedule changes to a ‘pulse’ like structure.  This consists of remaining on your full NAC dosage and then only taking your antibiotics for a total of two weeks only, every second month. This also includes one pulse only of Tinidazole / Metronidazole amongst it. The total treatment duration will depend on individual response and infection load, with some requiring up to three years to ensure successful treatment.
